Blue Tiger's Eye: Namibia's Dark Oceanic Treasure

Formed in the ancient Precambrian rock formations of the Namib Desert, Blue Tigers Eye have been shaped by over 600 million years of geological processes. The harsh desert environment and unique mineral composition of the region contribute to the stone's distinctive dark beauty and durability.

The intense blue color is a result of light scattering within the Quartz's microstructure, known as the Tyndall effect. This same phenomenon is responsible for the blue color of Earth's skies and deep ocean waters. Over millions of years, Silica-rich solutions gradually replaced the Crocidolite fibers with Quartz, preserving the original fibrous structure; and residual Iron from the Crocidolite oxidized, creating the Golden-brown streaks that sometimes appear.

This interplay of deep color and lustrous movement evokes the mysterious beauty of the deep sea, captured within Blue Tigers Eye's crystalline structure.
